I moved to Sioux City, IA from Chicago, Il. I am 30 years old, clean cut, well dressed, college educated, Catholic and conservative. I grew up in an Irish working class neighborhood in Chicago, but have also live in the suburbs of both Chicago and Seattle; Louisville, KY, and Paris. I am friendly, honest, and polite. I have never had a problem making friends, even in Paris where I didnt even speak French. Yet here I am actually looked down upon and disliked. It just blows my mind how rude people are here. i have not made a single lasting friendship for the 2 1/2 years ive been here. What am i doing wrong or is it just 2 different types of people who are incompatable. just to clear a few things up I dont believe being Catholic or education makes someone superior. Ther is a ; in the sentence I lived in Paris proper. I am not racist against immigrants. Wow some people take everything as an attack. LOL heres some more detail the average 30 year old man here is heavy set, bearded, wears a brown duck jacket and brown boots, drives a pickup, drinks domestic macrobrewed beer and actually cares about high school football.
